Anton Mazyrko

Sr. Building Envelope Consultant

Prior to joining the Sullivan Engineering, A Rimkus Company team, Anton worked at several New York City architecture firms on projects including the historic restoration of Shepard Hall at CCNY, the expansion of Google’s headquarters into Chelsea, and most recently, Penn Station’s expansion into Moynihan Train Hall, at the city’s former main post office building. Through all the various phases of construction, Anton found that fieldwork, understanding how building components come together off paper, and nurturing client relationships through the construction process are what he enjoys most.

Anton’s first experience with building envelope entailed the reskinning of the historic landmark and neo-gothic cathedral, Shepard Hall at City College of New York. Anton participated in the final phase of reconstruction, overseeing the replacement of thousands of pieces of ornamental terra cotta with newly cast thin-shell GFRC. Anton worked closely with the contractor inspecting material, investigating construction roadblocks caused by existing conditions, and issued technical drawings that facilitated solutions while maintaining the core design intent. This process garnished Anton’s understanding of the many various building components, such as exterior wall assemblies, window replacement, leak investigation, and implementation of waterproofing.

Anton is an avid cyclist who has participated several times in the annual Five Boro Bike Tour. When he’s not on his road bike, you can find Anton racing down mountain bike trails with his wife and young son. In the winter months, Anton enjoys snowboarding in the backcountry out West and scouting local ponds for ice hockey pick-up games.

CAD technician, Omar Rojas at Sullivan Engineering

Omar Rojas

CAD Technician

Please meet Sullivan Engineering’s CAD technician, Omar Rojas. Omar joins the CAD team with over 15 years of drafting experience. After graduating with an associate degree in CAD design from ITT Tech, Omar worked with the county assessor’s office as a civil work technician developing county and parcel/property maps. Omar went on to work with a local mechanical engineering firm doing complex and highly detailed plumbing, fire protection and HVAC design for commercial properties, resorts/hotels, schools, medical facilities and large-scale homes. Omar further developed his design proficiency working for a multiple discipline mechanical engineering firm in the mining industry. There, he was responsible for developing 3D modeling for plant plumbing systems, including: large scale tanks, piping, pumps, valves and every other piece of equipment utilized in the processing of material.

Born and raised in a close-knit family in the border town of Nogales Arizona, Omar currently calls Tucson his home. Omar married his wife Cindy in 2010, and since then, they have been busy raising 3 children. Their son plays baseball, their daughters play softball; and coincidentally, they are all catchers in their prospective leagues. Their oldest daughter is also an accomplished violinist. Always focusing on their talented and competitive kids, Omar and Cindy are often running between invitational softball tournaments and orchestral concerts. When he does have some free time, Omar indulges in his passion for building and customizing cars.
