Upcoming Façade Amnesty Program to Begin July 1

The Department’s Façade Inspection and Safety Program (FISP) is offering an amnesty period to begin July 1, 2020. The program will run for three months and may be extended at the Department’s discretion. The amnesty program is only open to non-compliant Cycle 8 owners.

The amnesty period will allow owners who failed to file (No Report Filed – NRF) a Façade Report during Cycle 8 the opportunity to administratively close Cycle 8 with the Cycle 9 report. See the March 2020 Service Notice for additional program details and requirements.

NOTE: The Department’s Façade Amnesty Program is a limited time safety initiative and may not be offered in future cycles; contacting a certified FISP inspection service is recommended.

Civil Penalties
Civil penalties can be paid in-person only at the Central Cashier located in Manhattan at 280 Broadway, 1st Floor from 8:30am to 2:00pm. Contact the Façades unit at facades@buildings.nyc.gov to inquire about the amount of civil penalties owed. Civil penalty payments will soon be processed online in eFiling. A service notice will be issued with details.
